Self Catering Cottages in the Yorkshire Wolds
Church Farm, Garton on the Wolds, Driffield, East Yorkshire

Foldyard Cottage  The Granary The Plovery

A little bit about ...

Church Farm in the village of Garton on the Wolds is just a few miles from Driffield known as the Capital of the Wolds. We are situated along a quiet lane close to the historic Norman church of St Michael & All Angels.

There is so much to discover in the Yorkshire Wolds and if you have not visited the area before, the chances are you will want to return as the options are endless whatever your interests. We are in a good central location for visiting the Yorkshire coast, and historic cities such as York and Beverley, or Hull UK City of Culture 2017. We are also right in the middle of the Yorkshire Nature Triangle with a whole host of nature reserves on our doorstep, and within a few miles of the mid way point of the Wolds Way national trail if you are a keen walker. The tranquil countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds and quiet country lanes are also great for cycling and riding.

Once part of the nearby Sledmere Estate, Church Farm is no longer a working farm in an agricultural sense but is now home to our three self catering cottages. The original 18th century buildings have been transformed into stylish and comfortable accommodation, at the same time retaining much of the original character of the traditional East Riding farmstead.

Foldyard Cottage and The Plovery each offer ground floor accommodation and enjoy pleasant views across the courtyard garden and pond. As the name suggests, The Granary is a converted granary accessed via a set of stone steps enjoying an elevated view across our grass paddocks and Wolds countryside beyond. Our cottages are very clean and well equipped with quality appliances, leather sofas and chairs, comfortable beds and free fibre broadband. They have all been awarded a 4 Star Gold VisitEngland star rating.

We offer weekly lets and flexible short breaks all year round. Dogs are very welcome in all of our cottages and can enjoy a good run around our two acres of well kept grass paddock and wildlife pond.

Please get in touch if you would like to know more about our holiday cottages or wish to check availability. We look forward to hearing from you ...
