ACCESS STATEMENT
Church Farm is situated in the village of Garton on the Wolds, approximately three miles from the traditional market town of Driffield. No longer a working farm, we are located along a quiet lane near to the historic Norman church of St Michael & All Angels.
If you are travelling by public transport, the nearest railway station is Driffield and from there a taxi service is available. The bus service from Driffield to Garton on the Wolds is a little limited but Church Farm is within walking distance from the bus stop in the village.
Prior to your arrival we will send you either by post or e-mail, arrival instructions and directions to Church Farm, along with information about the local area, shops etc which may be useful to know in advance.

FOLDYARD COTTAGE
Foldyard Cottage has been converted from original farm buildings dating from the 1700's. Whilst retaining much of the original character, the cottage provides warm and comfortable, contemporary ground floor accommodation with two bedrooms sleeping up to 4 guests. It is fully equipped for self-catering to make your stay as convenient as possible.
Arrival and Parking
Access to Foldyard Cottage is quite straightforward, being off a level road and through a 12' gateway into a level gravelled parking area. There is parking for up to two cars within a few yards of the accommodation. A paved pathway (with a slight slope) leads to the main entrance door, with a threshold into the property. There is plenty of outdoor lighting around the cottage and parking area, some with an automatic sensor and some switch operated.
On arrival we will be pleased to help you with your luggage if required, and to give you a brief tour of the accommodation. A manual with instructions for appliances, useful and emergency telephone numbers, local facilities etc is provided in the cottage.
Accommodation
Once inside, the accommodation is all on one level. A small entrance lobby leads to the bathroom and the open plan living accommodation (wood flooring). The two bedrooms are located off a hallway at the far end of the cottage. The kitchen/living area and bedrooms are light and airy with a very pleasant outlook onto the courtyard garden to which access is provided via doors from the kitchen and living area (with a step down on to a patio). A level paved patio with garden furniture is provided. Please note there is a pond in the courtyard garden close to Foldyard Cottage.
The bathroom in Foldyard Cottage has a shower but no bath. The shower has a shower tray with a 6" raised lip. A grab rail is provided inside the shower cubicle. Vinyl flooring.
Good quality (firm) zip and link beds are provided in both bedrooms giving the option of a super king sized bed or two 3 foot single beds (please specify your requirements when booking). Both bedrooms are carpeted.
The accommodation is well lit with a range of lighting, dimmer switches, wall and bedside lamps etc.
Please note we have a no smoking policy inside the accommodation.
Telephone/WiFi
The accommodation does not have a telephone. Mobile phone reception inside Foldyard Cottage is not reliable, but within a short distance from the cottage a signal should be possible. For emergency use, we will of course provide the use of our own landline. There is a public phone box in the village a short walk from the cottage (cards only, coins not accepted). Free wireless internet service is available in the cottage. An access code is provided in the cottage manual.
Pets
Assistance dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
THE GRANARY
The Granary has been converted from original farm buildings dating from the 1700's. Whilst retaining much of the original character, the cottage provides warm and comfortable, contemporary first floor accommodation with one bedroom sleeping up to 2 guests. It is fully equipped for self-catering to make your stay as convenient as possible.
Arrival and Parking
Access to The Granary is along a gravelled driveway from the Church Farm entrance. A slight downhill slope leads to a level gravelled parking area for up to two cars within a few yards of the accommodation and a level paved patio with garden furniture. A flight of external stone steps with protective railings and handrail leads up to the accommodation. There is plenty of outdoor lighting around the cottage and parking area, some with an automatic sensor and some switch operated. A series of brick lights light the external stone steps.
On arrival we will be pleased to help you with your luggage if required, and to give you a brief tour of the accommodation. A manual with instructions for appliances, useful and emergency telephone numbers, local facilities etc is provided in the cottage.

Once inside, the open-plan accommodation with a separate bedroom and bathroom is all on one level. The rooms are light and airy with views across the fields to the south, and into the courtyard garden to the north.
The Granary has a shower and bath (shower with a movable screen over bath). A handrail is provided next to the bath.
A good quality (firm) zip and link bed is provided giving the option of a king sized bed or two single beds (each 2'6" wide). Please specify your requirements when booking.
The accommodation is well lit with a range of lighting, dimmer switches, bedside lights etc. Wood flooring throughout, with matting by the entrance.
